Venison Pita Kabob with Hummus

Quick, delicious and easy to clean-up. Use your venison with some fresh vegetables to make a delicious meal that is family friendly. Letting the pita serve as your plate, your kabobs paired with hummus will be your families new favorite way to eat venison.

What you Need:

  • Venison Back-Strap Roast (Cubed)
  • ½ Red Onion (Cubed)
  • 1 Mixed Bell Pepper (Cubed)
  • 1 Cup Pineapple (Cubed)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 5 Skewers (Pre-Soaked)
  • 5 Pitas
  • Hummus
  • Chive and Cilantro

Preparation:

Using the Venison, Onion, Pepper and Pineapple slide items onto the skewer alternating to your taste.  Lightly drizzle the kabob with olive oil and season with coarse ground Sea Salt and Pepper to taste.

Venison Pita Kabob with Hummus

Cooking:

Grill the skewers on high heat on either a grill or grill pan. Flip at regular intervals until the meat is cooked to desired temperature.  Timing will vary depending on temperature and meat thickness.

Plating:

Taking a pita, liberally apply hummus and place skewer on the pita.  Pulling firmly from one end remove the skewer, letting the kabob items fall onto the pita. Adding fresh cilantro and chive to taste, role up the pita and enjoy!
